I was doing a mental walk-through of a new art/craft project and I had to try drawing the idea out. The two profiles are closest to the idea (which was a piece of art jewelry).
I need to find out which brand of polymer clay would work best for a project with pointy bits that will be worn on a long necklace (and therefore swing around and possibly knock into things). It needs to be hard but not brittle... maybe there's something better than polymer clay for this project. I was thinking of doing it in parts, horns and ears on pins so they could be baked first, a "skull" with glass eyes to be baked separately, then putting on eyelids, scales, adding the ears and horns, and the baking again. I'm also thinking bits of fake fur or novelty yarn for the floofy bits...

Date: 2005-06-11 04:39 pm (UTC)I still can't believe I managed to draw something cute. Cute is a rare thing from my pencil. Or course I can't do cute on demand, when I do I usually end up with something sexual and predatory....
