I was wondering if you have a preferred fansubber for Bleach. I'm contemplating downloading it but I have no idea which fansub would be best. I'm leaning toward Lunar Anime just because they seem to be the most complete at the moment and I like sticking with one fansubber throughout a series.
Speaking of anime and fansubs, do you have any idea what is going on with Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon?
I don't have any idea with Sakon. They did this to me earlier in the year as well ie put out a couple releases then nothing for months. The website animesuki has comes up with a page not found error! However, my friend Ali found a website that sells VHS versions of Sakon and has the complete run. She bought them and said they are quite well done or at least no complaints for the price.
Now for Bleach, Lunar ROCKS! Not that my Japanese is even remotely fair but from what I can understand they seem to be one of the best. The are consistant in getting an episode out weekly as well. Bleach Society also does a good job, though I think Lunar's is a wee bit cleaner.
I noticed a couple new groups have started with Sakon but they've only got the first two episodes out so I didn't bother with downloading (or even checking to see if the links were any good). The side for Seichi has been fubar for quite a while, it used to redirect to an "online pharmacy"!
Lunar wins for Bleach then, I just have to make some space before I can download it. (Saiyuki is a major space hog, guess I had better watch that huh?)
God Saiyuki.. I've been deleting as I buy the new discs. My 200 gig external HD has about 40% of its space left! They need to be getting more of those things licensed!
They have the torrents for 10 and 11 but I haven't seen listings for 1-9 for a while. I think they dropped them because they were inactive for too long.
I looked up those other groups... they're disbanded so they won't be finishing either (in fact they stopped before Seichi even started). I guess that we just wait for Seichi, or for someone else to decide to pick it up (or for it to be licensed).
Apparently their encoder "retired" and they had to locate a new person. That was back in April though so who knows what's going on. Though it seems it took them two years to reach this point (11 episodes) so I guess this is par for the course. If they stay at this rate though it will be another three years before they finish, if not four.
I think We Suck has spoiled me with their quick work on Loveless.
