Remember that half naked and heavily pierced bat girl I started coloring ages ago? Well I finally forced myself to finish her. The will gave out before a decent background was made, but at least I didn't leave her on a plain white sheet.I'm not sure how well wing skin would hold tattoos. The pattern was a last minute decision, unadorned wing membrane made her look half dressed (even more so than her lack of any clothing other than her shorts).
[While I'm thinking of it, Athelind, could you send me a scan of the drawing I did of Nik and that several years old kimono lizard I did for Quel?]

I think this one must be from an industrialized nation and out of touch with, or completely foreign to, such traditions and just adopted it for the look. Rather like the people that go for extensive "tribal" tattoos that have no basis in any tribal culture. It's the only way to explain the totally unoriginal wing pattern I stuck on her (it's actually a pattern fill I made from a scan of some flocked lace). ;>
