Nov. 1st, 2004 08:35 pmWell to cheer myself up a bit I drew a new sexy cat lady. I think she most resembles my character Senna, though I should make her ears a bit more pointed in shape for her. Her hands still need major work, as usual, I'm really bad with hands. Ignore the sketchy bit to the left, I was playing around with an idea for the finished image and that portion would be done digitally (it's the pentacle she normally wears).
Sorry about the quality but with my PC out of commission and my back up in pieces I have no scanner available and had to make do with an older digital camera and the photo editing software on
hafoc's PC.

Date: 2004-11-05 09:10 am (UTC)Since I don't have any sort of pressure sensitive input device (a tablet for example) I don't do much drawing of organics on the computer but I do like it for geometrics. Since I really can't draw a circle larger than a quarter without a compass or template and centering a five pointed star (and not having lopsided) is pretty much impossible for me without a protractor and ruler... the computer is perfect! :) I also have a habit of making vector shapes in Paint Shop Pro so (one I get my PC working again) I'll only have to pull up my pre-made pentacle and jazz it up with the gemstone stations.
I do do some small 'sketches' on the computer with vector tools, like my LJ icon, and sometimes I'll 'ink' simple sketches the same way. It just gets tedious without a tablet since every line takes a couple passes (minimum) to create variable line weight. Now if I had a nice pressure sensitive tablet I'd probably only use paper when sitting at the PC was inconvenient. :)
