NaNo Derailment, Expertly Done

tephraThis is a public archive of the post I made at the Den of Devils.
I apologize for the mess that is my desk and immediate surrounds, this is where I do most of my creative stuff that doesn't need more than about a square foot of clear space to work in.
So. You see, Kris has been a bit, oh, excited about what she was sending me for Christmas this year. And she's been making me be sure to be home to get the mail this weekend, not really an issue since Black Friday has little meaning if you have no cash to go spend and don't like crowds at all. :D
Anyway, the box came today. It was an Iplehouse box, which I didn't think much about since it's a box to mail things in and Kris has more than a couple Iple boys. Though I did wonder what the heck she would be sending that might take up that much space.
I admit, I remember how Anjeni turned up here in March 2009, but this box was a heck of a lot bigger than hers.
Inside was this box:
Yeah, that was a little bit more OMG inducing than the outer box.
Which made the note a really good idea:
Though I think asking for calm might have been a bit much. It did however remind me that air is nice.
I should point out the last two photos are after the fact, there was no stopping for a camera. You'll have to imagine the actual opening of the box and the layer of clothing.
And boots nearly as tall as Anjeni... well I exaggerate, they're only about half as tall as she is.
I had the box turned so the first part of the doll I uncovered where leather clad legs and bare feet, talk about drawing out the suspense.
If you heard a SQUEEEE! 'round about 2:30pm Eastern time, that was me.
And this is why:
Yes! Rico is now living with me now! I'd told Kris ages ago that I really liked her, and when Soyuz said she was going to sell her I said I wished I could have made an offer.
She's here! She's here! She's here!
*ahem* Pardon the random squee, I'm afraid they're kinda frequent around here at the moment. :D
Of course the first photo I took of her was next to Namid for a size comparison between Dollzone and Resinsoul MSD girls. Their shoes have the same thickness of platform but Namid has a tiny bit more heel on hers. It doesn't help her much.
Then time was lost to changing Rico's clothes, because of course that's the first thing you do with a new doll.
Then Anjeni had to meet the new girl, she's senior doll around this place after all.
Yeah, there might be some neck strain involved in laying down the law.
And then Rico took Anjeni's spot next to Namid.
That didn't seem to go over too well. It also displaced and saddened Reggie the dragon.
He's really sad. I shall have to devise a way to get them all together again.
Then I learned that posing three dolls is exponentially more difficult than posing two.
We'll have to work on that.
