No notifications from LJ?

Here's why.

Not that long ago I turned off anonymous comments on my journal because I was getting spammed daily, even with the CAPTCHA enabled. Guess I wasn't the only one getting fed up.

I turned off anon because every time I said something the fans girls didn't like I got flooded with anon comments..

I haven't had a problem with CE, but I'm not getting an email on my comment on a personal journal...

I'm getting nothing. So I'm checking my recent posts whenever I think of it. Caught some more spam that way.... :P

Ugh, all I can think of it your server is pickier than mine...

It all depends on if the mail server is run by someone that pays attention to Spam Haus or not. 1&1 apparently does, Comcast apparently does not. Given how wide spread the problem is there's a lot of ISP/mail providers that do.

I'm getting notifications by email again, but while I wasn't I set up my IM client (Trillian) to use LJtalk (Jabber) and got IMs from Frank when I would have gotten emails normally. It isn't that handy if you can't receive IMs regularly but it helped.
