Mostly unprintable
Jul. 20th, 2008 04:10 pmYeah, some approaches to problems are not to be taken by medical professionals in regard to my family members. Let it be known that being three inches shorter and forty pounds lighter has not made my brother any less scary when pissed off.
Anyway, after that mess was cleared up (not without establishing a hell of a lot of "trust you as far as I could throw your car feelings) it's been decided that Mom will stay in the hospital while her meds are re-evaluated and re-adjusted. They say one to two days but neither my brother or myself buy it. Mom is coherent and going along with it though, so what can we do?
I'm thinking it's going to be at least a week given the rate at which people adjust to that category of drugs and mom's slow metabolism. Maybe they can figure out why her leg is still hurting her so much while she's in there... and maybe eventually someone will tell me what the hell happened that her leg is messed up. The family isn't good at this whole "keeping family members that don't live here in the loop" thing unless there's a hospitalization involved.
