Mom was able to have a coherent conversation this evening according to my brother. She's in the critical care ward and I think he's been using some of connections to get to see her so much (he's a First Responder and has been driving the ambulance here in town for a goodly number of years). I know he was using them when she was first brought in.

His opinion is that she's probably going to be there through Monday at best, we'll see, but there looks to be no lasting harm at any rate.

I apologize for not responding on the previous post. Thank you for your prayers and healing thoughts.

I'm on a slower PC. Actually, it's the same as mine at home, but with half the RAM and about a year of assorted software updates trying to download all at once on a dial-up connection since I actually use the internet and connect on this thing. At the moment I am typing just marginally faster than the machine can display the text.

I think I saved the install for the updated AVG on the laptop, I'll sneaker net that and see if I can stop one of the updates from tying up the connection the next time I boot up.

Mom has been moved to a regular room now, no longer in the critical care wing, so that's good. We're cautiously optimistic that she might be able to come home Monday but there's nothing solid on that yet.
