Someone just accused me of stealing a piece of art (my one Yu Yu Hakusho fanart as a matter of fact). What's the protocol when someone just drops a bomb like that in the comments? Is hiding the comment a good idea or a bad idea?
I checked to see if I still had the original sketch and ink, I do, so if they actually reported it I have something to respond with other than a PSP file with my coloring work.

Date: 2007-11-23 06:58 am (UTC)What did you use as reference? Did you use anything at all? If so, something like "I drew this pic based on my own imagination / some photograph that I found at X, thank you very much." might work. Then personally I'd tell her to find some goddamn proof before she starts flinging accusations. It's your reputation as an artist she's threatening to ruin just from some pic she saw years ago and might be misremembering. There's no copyright on that goddamn pause, it's really not THAT original.

Date: 2007-11-23 07:40 pm (UTC)I think my general thoughts when I drew it back in '05 were "ooh, demon-y threesome!" :D
No references, which is part of why it's so bad. Though I do thank Yuusuke for being such an enthusiastic pervert.
Most annoying is that she did it on a holiday, I doubt email I sent to DA asking some questions will get dealt with until Monday at the earliest.
