Well, not as geeky at the Klein bottle hat but subtly geeky:

Fibonacci cardigan

The color changes might save this from being very boring to knit, though it does gain points by being knit in one piece from the top down. I love top down sweaters, they have only two seams (the underarms) which can be woven closed to render the sweater effectively seamless. Unfortunately, this one doesn't do the sleeves in the round for some reason, leaving a sleeve seam and the underarm. Odd. I don't see any reason why other than avoiding switching needles. I'd probably cast on the under arm stitches, join the sleeve in the round and work it as normal, switching from shorter circulars to double points (or trying out that knitting a small round on two circular needles trick I've heard about).

While I'd have to alter this pattern to fit me it's really very basic so I'm adding it to the collection of patterns I would like to knit up one day. :)

Ok, now that is cool! XD

My innner geek now wonders if anyone's done a Sierpinski Triangle sweater yet.

Wow... *lol* Yes, how cool would that be to have a Sierpinski shawl?

The first thing I thought of after seeing the Fibonacci sweater was "hey, you could stripe it using the value of pi... out to about 30 decimal places anyway. :)

If you do that, you must take pictures to share!! :D
