It should have been FORTRAN

You are 'programming in QBASIC'. This programming language (of which the acronym stands for 'Quick Beginners' All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code'), which is so primitive that it cannot easily be used for any purpose involving the Internet nor even sound, was current more than a decade ago.
You are independent, in a good way. When something which you need cannot be found, you make it yourself. In writing and in talking with people, you value clarity and precision; your friends may not realize how important that is. When necessary, you are prepared to be a mediator in conflicts between your friends. You are very rational, and you think of things in terms of logic and common sense. Unfortunately, your emotionally unstable friends may be put off by your devotion to logic; they may even accuse you of pedantry and insensitivity. Your problem is that programming in QBASIC has been obsolete for a long time.

Date: 2005-10-11 07:28 am (UTC)i never learned it, but all my computer science major friends whined about it all the time, lol.
what was that other language they talked about??? hmm.... COBOL? or something like that?
i learned basic, back in the day. on an apple IIe, no less. and then i had the audacity to take assembly for the 6902(?) processor. i think that was the processor. well, anyways, it was the apple II series. and i don't know what i was thinking. well, yes i do. the course description said that knowledge of BASIC was the only prerequisite. OMFG i was in over my head. but i managed to pass the class. with a migraine, lol.
now i just dabble around the edges of programming languages. generally just enough to understand how they work, and in some cases to be able to configure other people's work to my own needs. but i don't delude myself that i could actually WRITE software. lol. i'm an ARTIST. my left brain only works in short, violent bursts. :-P
