tephraCool things I should get involved in because it would mean I would get some exercise:
Geocaching - I've known about this for years but I still haven't gotten into it. It would validate my continued ownership of a Brunton compass (AKA pocket transit, mine's a cheap Chinese knock-off, if $65 almost 10 years ago is cheap).
Letterboxing - Discovered today thanks to Wil Wheaton's blog. This has art affiliations. It's like Glamourbombing with exercise. I'm really rather entranced with the idea. There are two boxes nearby according to the clues listed too!
