And there is a fair amount of knitting that I haven't photographed yet.....
Dad seems to like it, it's soft and squishy and got petted lots. The family (and that does include me) has a strong tendency to save things "for good" so new clothes and things tend to spend more time in storage than used. I'm breaking myself of that, slowly and with effort, but I still have a lot of things that are used a bit more gently then perhaps they should be. So I understand the keeping in the box thing, I just hope it gets some use eventually. :D
As far as the NaNo goes, I do like all the characters. Toward the end of the month I just sort of devolved into character reactions and letting them go all introspective and ramble on about why they were reacting the way they were to things. That sort of thing is great for fleshing out a character but bad for story pacing. It will probably end up a case of having to find them a plot. Have starship, will travel.
