I must correct [Bad username or unknown identity: hafoc,] Shadow is JUST as persistent as Patches. I'm going to have to take up wearing a denim jacket while working on the PC just to keep skin on my right shoulder blade. I am apparently the highway between my bed and the assorted Fascinating Stuff on my desk. And the Ultra Interesting Light Box with Moving Bits (that would be the monitor to those that can't think Kitten). And of course where (ARGH! Goddammit Shadow, knock it off!) (Get your fluffy ass off my keyboard too!) Shadow is Patches must be also. Well at least Shadow isn't sitting in front of the monitor watching text appear (like she was for the last couple lines). Of course both of them are prowling around now, about time to toss them off again. *SIGH*

This morning Patches attempted to pierce my lip (she went after Shadow's tail, which was hitting me in the face since she was on my shoulder at the time) and about an hour ago Shadow tried piercing my eyebrow. I can forgive Patches easier than Shadow, even if the lip still hurts and the eye doesn't. (Especially since Shadow just woke up and raked my other eye going for my glasses again.) That kitten is eroding all my gooey feelings for kittens in a hurry. She's already mauled the right lens of my glasses so I'll be forced to replace my glasses sooner than I would have otherwise and the amount of pain she's inflicting (mostly to my face) is really making me irritable. My face may not be much to look at but I rather like it without the scratches and the welts from the scratches.

And I'm rather moody today to start with so getting beat up by kittens isn't making me cheerful. I've got to find another box of tissues for this room.

Things like this would be where the "use yourself as a reference" thing really just doesn't work. Since the one book I have that might have had a reference is still packed and I didn't have web access to go looking for a reference I just drew it out of my head. That is how a lot of my stuff is, as is probably obvious to the real artists out there.

Anyway, meet Purra, one of the twins that worked in The 'Gryph Inne back before it got purged on FurryMUCK. Now I just need to draw her brother and try to make him look like he could be her twin... that might take me a while. I'm not good with the male form and trying to keep characters in scale/looking the same from image to image is not one of my strong suits. If I have any strong suits.

Right hand to be fixed to something less stiff, left hand to be fucked around with until I give up. Ocelot markings to be added later.

Alternate version to be done later as well, something with a floofy tail to cover any bits, just barely (Purra herself will have clothing added). Classic would be a fox but I thinking a skunk, or a giant anteater.

Update: Both hands have been reworked, I can live with them now. Clothing has been lightly sketched in and probably is not discernible on this scan.
