And I still don't really know what the heck the plot is.
I have one character off in a foreign land hunting down any legends she can find that might correlate with one that her own people have from several thousand years ago. I have ended up with some sort of religious order being the likely people to have the records, and superstitions that make it a bit dangerous for Sierna to be there. Yay for adding complexity on the fly. :P
I have her would-be love interest (poor boy, she shocks the hell out of him for fun with her flirting) sailing back home to his "country" to attempt to gain access to his people's records to see if they have any matching legends. So far Nikkol has been both quiet and rather boring. I'm sure he'll get into trouble somewhere.
I have a sort of priest/monk person of undetermined gender1 who I think has gone off to deal with a group of people that I think are the rough and tumble and not precisely nice sort. I'm not quite sure just what the Roams are yet but Zephyr doesn't seem to feel they are a problem.
And I just added a barge master that mentions a culture I didn't know I had. I'm not sure if I'll end up following that branch, it's sort of dead at the moment. It just added a group of people I hadn't had in mind while I was bashing together my idea for this story. Rizma may also be a lesbian that may be interested in Sierna, that little detail popped up in the last 100 words or so.
Yeah. No Plot. Just a hell of a lot starting to happen all over the damned map.
1. Undetermined as in no one knows if s/he is female or male and they all have their own opinions on the matter. Sierna thinks female, Nikkol thinks male, and Zephyr's not telling because the Dwellers Within don't distinguish between the two publicly.
