LJ meme: "Pick Three"

iceraptoress snagged an interesting lj meme that I wanted in on so here it goes:

Interests (which I should probably prune):

Cordwaining - If I call it shoemaking does it make more sense? :) Traditionally cordwainers made shoes and cobblers fixed them, it was actually two separate guilds. Cordwain comes from cordovan leather, through some language mauling anyway. I've recently posted some about why I'm interested, that whole "it would be nice to have shoes/boots that fit" thing. :)

Snarksexual - I was actually a member of an LJ community by that name for a while, but I left after the posting volume dropped to zero. Anyway, "snarksexual" would be the term for someone that finds dry wit and sarcasm rather attractive. ;)

Therianthropy - Sort of a mental lycanthropy I suppose. It's one of those things that gets smushed around the fringe of furry and otherkin and generally functions as wank-bait so maybe I should be thinking of pruning that.... Originally I added it because there's just something fascinating about the mental shifting that takes a person from "human" to "other". And with something like four dozen furry characters living in my head it seemed to apply at least academically.

Icons!

1. That's me! Or at least the currently look for Tephra. The feline aspects are getting stronger but she's still a dragon so it's my best take on "liger + dragon" for now.

2. I knew this one would get picked! It's a commercial bumper from the anime Shuffle! (a harem anime that at least tried to be somewhat original). When I first saw it I went "WTF?! I did not just see a cat chewing on a penis!" which, as you can see, is indeed not what I saw. But if that's the first thing that came to my mind it would be so for others too, which makes it a good icon. ;) I have it over on JF too, where I use it in the wank communities. :D Here I tend to use it for those frustrating things, because you know that cat has to be irritated at the squid chewiness.

3. Kakashi and his porn! It's from Shippuuden, when Naruto gives Kakashi a new, not yet in bookstores, installment of Kakashi's favorite porn series. You have to love a ninja that reads porn continuously and only puts it away when the fight gets serious. He also can't seem to resist a bookstore or make himself put a book down to get some sleep.

I actually made another icon from a later episode where Naruto and Sakura use a sneaky underhanded attack to defeat Kakashi in a sparring match...



Such a mean, mean attack to use on a bibliophile.

Hee! Actually, I didn't think the kitty was chewing on a penis until you pointed it out. I always saw it as a squid. ^_^ Guess I'm just not pervy enough!

Thanks especially for the explanation of therianthropy. I'd never heard the term before.
