For something that tastes and smells (raw anyway) like an apple, they sure smell like tomatoes when you cook them. And they take a while to get sufficiently mushy to pass through a sieve. Tomorrow I'll hopefully be finishing up the jelly. Since I didn't have that many rosehips (having only one bush to harvest from) I'll be including apple to extend them.
