That all it took to get the spring thaw started was knitting a warm hat for

hafoc I would have done it sooner than the last weekend of February.

For the curious, here it is on me, where you can't see the second half of the cable pattern because it's too close to the crown.

I want to get a modeling shot of the hat on him, largely because it's really hard to get a good shot of a hat, particularly the crown, when it is on your own head. I have written the pattern (text as well as the chart that I actually worked from) but I still need to proof read, edit, and make it pretty. I'm thinking to put it up for sale, if I can convince myself it's a pattern someone would actually buy.

It's over forty degrees (Fahrenheit of course) and the ice is melting off the roof and the driveway and the snow is compacting down and turning into slush in the low areas where the water is collecting because the ground is still frozen. It's far too warm for this hat now. :)
